Paolo Roversi: "I Love to Work. I Will Keep Going"
Briefly

Paolo Roversi, an Italian photographer, considers photography his greatest love, despite his arsenal of hobbies. His latest book presents a curated selection of his work over 50 years, complementing an exhibition at Palais Galliera. Roversi distinguishes this collection from a retrospective, focusing instead on his favorites. His classical approach amidst fashion's evolution stems from inspirations like Nadar and August Sander. He enjoys working in a studio setting, which allows for complete focus on his subjects, producing a timeless style that transcends fleeting trends.
But the thing I like the most is to take photographs. I love what I do. I love to work, I love fashion, and I love photography, so that is a great motivation.
Although it features pictures from different stages of my career, I just picked my favourites, [so] for me it isn't a retrospective.
I don't want to be involved with just the last wave; I like to stay out of the movement of this river.
I like to work in the studio because I can just concentrate on my subject, isolate them from the rest of the world.
