Photographer Ron Timehin partnered with Adobe to celebrate LGBTQ+ History Month by photographing Lady Phyll, a leading figure in the fight for equality. Lady Phyll is co-founder of UK Black Pride and has significantly influenced racial and gender issues. Timehin expressed his admiration for Phyll's strength and resilience, emphasizing how he aimed to reflect these qualities in his portrait. The project deeply resonated with him, allowing him to honor those who have fought for the freedoms he enjoys today, while also inspiring others through creative expression.
This was a really special project for me, and I can't thank Lady Phyll enough. Not only did she give me her time and energy on the shoot, but she's also an amazing advocate for people like me worldwide.
LGBTQ+ History Month holds great significance for me as an artist. It provides me with an opportunity not only to learn and educate others about individuals who have made significant sacrifices.
