Marc Maron has announced the end of his long-running podcast, WTF With Marc Maron, after nearly 16 years. In a recent episode, he shared he and producer Brendan McDonald are "tired" but "utterly satisfied" with their journey. Launched in 2009 as a platform for Maron to discuss personal issues, the podcast evolved into a significant source for in-depth conversations with various cultural figures. With almost 1,700 episodes featuring guests like Barack Obama and Robin Williams, Maron tackled both humorous and serious topics throughout its run. The final episode will air in the fall.
"Sixteen years we've been doing this, and we've decided that we had a great run. Now, basically, it's time, folks. It's time. WTF is coming to an end."
"What began as a space for Maron to hash out his annoyances and beefs with fellow comedians soon turned into a go-to resource for in-depth, sprawling, and laid-back conversations with cultural figures."
