Over the weekend, two decapitated animals and bags of entrails were discovered at the Amtrak Fremont/Centerville Station. Dirk Lorenz, who oversees the station, expressed horror and shock upon finding an animal carcass and dismembered remains. After reporting the incident, police confirmed the remains were so disfigured that they would require examination by a forensic veterinarian to identify the species. Local residents are concerned about their pets' safety, as they wonder whether this gruesome incident is isolated or part of a larger threat.
"It was exceedingly sickening, very sickening to find the carcass. The head was in a bag on the ground and other parts were in a bag located right next to where the carcass was laid out here."
"Someone knew what they were doing. They skinned this thing. It was flat and they took everything on the inside."
