The Oregon Shakespeare Festival has unveiled its 2026 season, offering a diverse lineup of ten theatrical productions that explore themes of resilience and connection amid uncertainty. This season includes Shakespeare classics like 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' alongside a musical adaptation of 'Come from Away,' and urgent new works. Artistic Director Tim Bond emphasized the significance of these plays as they portray characters facing challenges and discovering support from others, illustrating the essence of overcoming adversity together as a community.
"Our 2026 season reminds us that theater is a place where we come together to reflect, to celebrate, and to find courage," said OSF Artistic Director Tim Bond.
"These plays center characters who are asked to rise - sometimes for themselves, sometimes for others - and who discover that the path forward is rarely walked alone. It's a season for audiences to see the possibility of what happens when we meet the moment."
A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's beloved comedy of entanglement, enchantment, and romantic folly, promises to reimagine the Bard's sylvan dreamscape with original music by Justin Huertas.
From ancient Athens to modern Newfoundland, the stage shifts to Come from Away, which recounts some true events of 9/11 when 7,000 stranded passengers found refuge in Gander.
