Jagalchi, a vast 75,000-square-foot Korean food complex in Daly City, recently opened to much anticipation. While it's attracting crowds comparable to popular local food spots, the experience at Pogu, the restaurant inside, is still lacking. During a visit, many menu items were unavailable, hindering the dining experience. Guests found the service chaotic, with reservations and walk-ins mingling in line and staffing issues apparent. For now, exploring street food stalls and Basquia Bakery may offer a better dining alternative at Jagalchi.
On a recent visit, more than half of the menu was unavailable, including the grilled meats and seafood, as well as a few appetizers and rice dishes.
People who have reservations and walk-ins wait in the same line, menus are scarce, and the staff radiates stress.
