According to the report, Queensland faces the highest risk, with 52% of tourism sites categorized as facing multiple severe threats, impacting key locations like the Great Barrier Reef and other vital tourist sites.
The findings from Zurich and Mandala illustrate that tourism is not only vital for Australia’s economy but is increasingly vulnerable to climate change impacts that could escalate disruptions for years to come.
