AIB Merchant Services is continuing to investigate the disruption in service to multiple products and services. Our AIB Merchant Services are experiencing technical issues that may be impacting merchants' ability to accept cards and outbound settlement funds. Progress is being made to fully resolve the issue and services are beginning to be restored.
Traders have reported significant business impact due to the outage. One business owner shared, 'I have six locations currently affected.' Another stated, 'This is causing big disruption to our business this morning,' indicating widespread difficulties.
The spokesperson clarified that the issue is due to a 'wider European issue' and emphasized, 'AIB is not experiencing technical issues today.' They assured that AIB MS, in partnership with Fiserv, is diligently working to rectify the processing problems.
Updates regarding the outage will be shared through their dedicated merchant services page, Aibms.com. Notably, there have been no complaints regarding online credit card payment disruptions, suggesting the issue is localized.
