Was your Social Security number leaked to the dark web? Here's how to find out
Briefly

National Public Data has had a massive breach, with 2.9 billion records stolen, putting countless social security numbers at risk for identity theft.
The hacker group USDoD initially sought to sell the stolen data for $3.5 million, but was outpaced by another group, Fenice, who released the data for free.
According to Vx-Underground, the data breach includes sensitive personal information such as names, addresses, social security numbers, and a comprehensive address history spanning three decades.
Individuals who have opted out of data collection services are safe from this breach; however, for many unprotected individuals, it may already be too late.
