The Chevrolet Equinox EV Peaks At 150 KW. It's Still Faster On A 250 KW Charger
Briefly

Tom Moloughney tested the charging speeds of the Chevy Equinox EV using three DC fast chargers to assess their effectiveness. Despite the theoretical maximum charging speed of 150 kW, the vehicle struggled to utilize available power effectively due to its low battery voltage. The most powerful 350 kW charger did not yield the shortest charging time; instead, the 250 kW Tesla Supercharger provided the fastest charge. The Equinox EV's battery design limits its charging capabilities, specifically not exceeding 400 volts under any condition, resulting in longer charging sessions than many modern EVs experience.
The Chevrolet Equinox EV, despite its high-voltage battery, faces longer charging times due to a low voltage when the state of charge is low.
Charging times vary between chargers, with the 250 kW charger surprisingly yielding a faster charge than both the 150 kW and 350 kW options.
