Trump ordered workers back to the office. They ask, where, exactly?
Briefly

President Trump's mandate for federal employees to resume in-person work is complicating matters as many agencies face space shortages. Due to the pandemic, many agencies downsized their office space and allowed extensive remote work arrangements. This has left them unprepared for a sudden influx of staff, with some employees never assigned to an office. High-ranking officials have acknowledged the issue, highlighting the urgent need for clarity on how to manage the logistics of returning to traditional workspaces effectively.
"We don't have firm guidance at this point in time. But we recognize that there is a potential problem," said Michael Peters, noting the uncertainty surrounding space availability.
"There are some specific offices where they literally don't have enough square feet per person. They'll be sitting on top of each other," warned Jack Fingert of the GSA.
