It's in Ukraine's interest and Europe's interest to not let this war grind on forever... So a key part of his conversation was helping President Zelensky understand this war needs to come to an end.
This kind of open-ended mantra that we've had under the Biden administration. That's over. A lot of people are having a hard time accepting that.
