Berkeley will host its inaugural Pride Festival on August 16, celebrating queer joy and diversity. Organizers, led by the Pacific Center for Human Growth, aim to create a vibrant space that honors LGBTQIA+ history while also focusing on a future that is radical and community-driven. The festival will be part of a growing trend of local Pride events across the Bay Area, continuing a legacy of support and celebration for LGBTQ+ communities through activities, concerts, and educational resources.
In 2025, we are overjoyed to launch Berkeley Pride as a vibrant street fair, creating a space that honors our history while building our future, said Lasara Firefox Allen.
We're building a Pride that reflects the spirit of Berkeley - radical, inclusive, and deeply community-driven.
