Berkeley's first official Pride celebration will focus on queer joy
Briefly

Berkeley will host its inaugural Pride Festival on August 16, celebrating queer joy and diversity. Organizers, led by the Pacific Center for Human Growth, aim to create a vibrant space that honors LGBTQIA+ history while also focusing on a future that is radical and community-driven. The festival will be part of a growing trend of local Pride events across the Bay Area, continuing a legacy of support and celebration for LGBTQ+ communities through activities, concerts, and educational resources.

We're building a Pride that reflects the spirit of Berkeley - radical, inclusive, and deeply community-driven.
