Hayes Valley Art Works holds a monthly Jazz Jam in its sculpture garden at Octavia and Oak on the last Saturday each month, welcoming everyone including dogs. A special silent auction and raffle fundraiser runs August 28–30 online and in person, with early bidding opening August 28 and concluding at 4 pm during the Jazz Jam. The goal is $1,500 to support the next event, and donations are requested though no one is turned away. Singers and instrumentalists may register to sit in; the house band and emcee are listed, and the gallery is open weekends 12–4.
