Kembery Chirinos-Flores, a 24-year-old mother, was murdered in Sunnyvale, allegedly by two Honduran men who were in the U.S. illegally. The suspects, Gerzon Chirinos and Alfonso Inestroza, have criminal histories and were arrested following the incident. Inestroza had previously been deported multiple times and had an outstanding homicide warrant from New Jersey. Chirinos had also been deported and had a history of domestic violence. The case has drawn criticism towards Santa Clara County's sanctuary policy.
