Allegedly targeting numerous victims, including minors, this scheme involved Ryan being blackmailed after he was tricked into sharing explicit images. Despite payment of $150, he continued to face demands for $5,000, leading to his heartbreaking decision to take his own life. The U.S. Department of Justice identified the main perpetrator, Alfred Kassi, who will be faced with prosecution under Ivorian laws, as extradition is not an option.
