Mama bears set up baby nurseries under California homes. See them cuddle their cubs
Briefly

In California, three mother bears have made nurseries under homes in Tahoe to give birth and care for their young until spring. The BEAR League, a nonprofit dedicated to bear protection, has been sharing heartwarming videos of these bears on social media. Notable moments include Sugar Bear with her cub, Snowflake, and another bear venturing out for food. The videos showcase the bears' nurturing behaviors, emphasizing the critical development of cubs as they grow stronger in their den, supported by attentive homeowners.
In this clip from during the night, Sugar Bear has left Snowflake for a bit, and based on one of our other cameras, we know she was eating snow at the entrance to the den.
Mother bears have done this for millions of years, and it's part of a cub's upbringing. He gets the opportunity to try out his little legs by climbing around in the nest without mom lying on top of him.
