Phase two of the Irish Independent's election tool 'VoteSmart' has gone live, aiding voters in finding candidates aligned with their views on significant issues like housing, health, and economy.
Since the launch of 'VoteSmart' in preparation for Election 2024, tens of thousands have utilized the tool, which initially matched views with major political parties.
The tool has been enhanced to include matches not only with major political parties but also with numerous Independent candidates, expanding voter options ahead of the elections.
With the inclusion of Independent candidates, 'VoteSmart' allows voters a broader scope to evaluate political alignment, thereby increasing voter engagement in the democratic process.
