"I preserved the feeling of the home by leaving the interior arches and doors and hardware which are fantastic. I also left the front door, as it had so much character and I just replaced the surrounding glass so you could see through the house all the way to the back," Bellisimo said in an email to SFGATE.
"Beyond preservation, Bellisimo made several substantial changes to the home after purchasing it in 2022 for $2.1 million. I basically did everything from replacing electrical and plumbing, to doing a new skim coat to the plaster, to centering the fireplace in the living room, to expanding both patios front and back," Bellisimo wrote.
