Sale agreed on Sinead O'Connor's 1.295m former Bray home
Briefly

The property 'Montebello' on Strand Road, previously owned by the late singer Sinead O'Connor, was listed for sale at a guide price of €1,295,000. Recently, it was confirmed that the sale has been agreed. The mid-19th century property, originally purchased in 2007 for €1.7 million, was re-listed in 2021 for just €950,000 and eventually sold for €1.04 million. Previously, plans to convert the house into apartments were rejected due to concerns over its impact on the local environment and character of the streetscape.
When the singer originally put it up for sale, estate agents described it as "one of the finest period properties to be brought to the market in Bray in recent times."
The mid-19th century seafront building has been in the public eye ever since O'Connor bought it at the height of the property boom in 2007 for €1.7m only to slash the asking price to €950,000 when she put it back on the market in 2021.
