Bay Area weather showing signs of spring; warming pattern to come after final sprinkle of rain
Briefly

The Bay Area is set to experience a transition from winter to spring, with the final day of winter bringing light rain before warmer, drier conditions emerge. Meteorologist Brayden Murdock indicated that temperatures could reach 80 degrees by early next week, a stark contrast to the recent cold air and frost warnings. Although a drier spell will dominate, there's potential for an upcoming system expected to bring rain late in March. For now, the North Bay will see more precipitation compared to other regions, with drizzle expected to turn to light rain by Wednesday night.
The final day of the calendar winter Wednesday was set to bring with it one final sprinkle of precipitation for storm-weary areas of the Bay Area before unveiling a weather pattern more keeping with the springtime.
We're kind of settling into a dryer pattern...systems that come close to us are going to push off to the north, and that's sort of the telltale sign.
By early next week, the change in that trend will be significant. Certain areas could reach 80 degrees by then, and the skies will stay rain free beginning Thursday.
The dryer pattern that settles in will not preclude any more systems from getting to the area...forecasters are eyeballing a new system that could bring rain for the final weekend in March.
