Children's Fairyland will celebrate its 75th anniversary on September 1 with a range of events including a birthday parade, performances, and interactive activities for children. The park is collaborating with BART to create a parade starting at the 19th Street BART station. Children will have opportunities to participate in various activities such as a "birthday adventure passport". Kymberly Miller, the park's executive director, is introducing a bilingual puppet show to enhance inclusivity. As part of the Fairyland for All initiative, low-income families can attend the celebration at a reduced ticket price.
"For 75 years, Fairyland has been a place where kids and families fall in love with storytelling, make cherished memories, and feel safe to play, explore, and connect," Miller said in announcement.
Kymberly Miller is introducing the park’s first fully bilingual puppet show, Tío Conejo's Big Wish, based on a folktale from Cuba, to promote inclusivity.
As part of the Fairyland for All initiative, low-income families can attend the anniversary celebration for just $5 per person, for up to eight people.
