"Days before Christmas, tenants at one apartment complex in San Francisco are accusing members of their property management staff of breaking into their home and stealing Christmas gifts. Sad just to see the spirit of Christmas just kind of robbed. It was, like it was the Grinch, just the breaking of public trust, and the fact that this wasn't your typical robbery. These were the people that are hired to help, maintain the building and they are breaking"
Tenants at Thomas Paine Square in San Francisco accuse property management employees of entering units and stealing more than $2,000 in Christmas gifts. Video footage appears to show a man attempting to remove a camera while another person blocks it, and several people walking out with items. A caregiver reports the tenant targeted is physically handicapped and mentally ill and felt fearful. Domus Management Company confirmed the people on the video were their employees. Tenant association leaders say similar incidents have been reported and organizers describe the acts as a breach of public trust.
