Police in Kennebunk, Maine are looking for a man who, they say, pocketed more than $7,000 in cash that was left in a roadway after falling off the roof of a car. A report of stolen property came in on Oct. 15, the Kennebunk Police Department said on Facebook. "An older male was seen picking up approximately $7,400 in cash that had fallen from the roof of the car of its rightful owner. The money was from the sale of a vehicle," the department said.
Security camera footage from a neighbor shows, on Sunday at 5 a.m., a person dressed in a gray hoodie and pants walking briskly down an alley while carrying the elongated 48-pound Halloween decoration horizontally, its bony fingers stretching toward the sky. The video footage, reviewed by The Times, shows the man head toward a black four-door vehicle and place the decoration on top of it.
CORONA, Calif. -- Police in Corona, California, are looking for a thief who made off with a 13-foot Jack Skellington decoration from a home. The incident happened early Sunday morning. The stolen animatronic of the protagonist from the 1993 film "The Nightmare Before Christmas" is worth more than $500 and has been a holiday staple for the homeowner for years.
Just before 1 a.m., officers responded to a report of two males breaking into a resident's cars on Pilgrim Road, police said in a statement. Working with Norwell police and a Hingham K-9 unit, officers investigated and launched a drone to help find the suspects. Using the drone, police found the two males, who ran when spotted, on another street. Officers caught and arrested a 17-year-old male but were not able to find the other suspect, according to police.

BROOKLYN, NY - A thief made off with hundreds of dollars in cash and a wallet loaded with credit cards after snatching a 66-year-old man's coat inside a Sheepshead Bay mosque Thursday evening, police said. The brazen theft happened around 7:40 p.m. at the Islamic center located at 2812 Voorhies Avenue, where the unidentified suspect entered the mosque and grabbed the unattended coat before fleeing in an unknown direction. The victim's wallet inside the coat contained $700 in cash, six credit cards, and other personal items, officials said.
