Rosters expanded from 26 to 28, prompting multiple roster moves by the Athletics. Right-hander Luis Severino was activated from the 15-day injured list. Infielder/outfielder Max Schuemann was recalled and right-hander Scott McGough had his contract selected to join the active roster. Right-hander Eduarniel Nunez was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas to create an additional active roster spot. Left-hander Ben Bowden was transferred to the 60-day injured list, opening a 40-man roster spot to accommodate McGough. Additional roster updates are expected.

They activated right-hander Luis Severino from the 15-day injured list, recalled infielder/outfielder Max Schuemann and selected right-hander Scott McGough. Right-hander Eduarniel Nunez was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas to open up an extra active roster spot.
