For the love of Matt Chapman
Briefly

This article expresses a strong affection for the San Francisco Giants and highlights the excitement surrounding player Matt Chapman. Despite some skepticism about his age and long-term performance, the author emphasizes Chapman's skills on the field, such as his defensive plays, ability to hit crucial home runs, and speedy baserunning. While not labeled a true five-tool player, the appreciation for his overall contributions is evident. Ultimately, the author advocates for Chapman's place as the best position player on the Giants, warranting admiration and support from fans.
Chapman hit .275/.313/.615 in the 96 PA following my post's publication...and he's hitting .243/.360/.452 in his first 272 PA this season.
Is he that true five tool player? Nah, the batting average doesn't permit that label, but he's that kind of player who does so much so right so often.
When he fields a ball behind the third base bag and begins a 5-3 double play, I feel that. When he hits walk-off home runs, I go wild.
At this point, I think we can all agree that he's a truly great player... right?
