The Chicago White Sox have reached an agreement with outfielder Austin Slater, a veteran player who had a tough 2024 season, hitting .209 across three teams.
Slater has a career batting average of .252 and has compiled impressive stats in terms of home runs, RBIs, and stolen bases during his time primarily with the Giants.
Despite his struggles last season, the White Sox are banking on Slater's experience to help improve their roster after a record-setting losing campaign.
After suffering a record 121-loss season, the White Sox hired Will Venable as their new manager in hopes of turning the team's fortunes around.
