He cites playing for his country as a dream and recalls fondly the 2010 Olympics, which left a lasting impression on him as a child. "It's always an honor to play for your country. Playing for your country in the Olympics is something that I dreamed of as a kid," Celebrini told THN. "To do that would be really cool."
"I think it's gonna be really cool to see that tournament play out," Celebrini explained, showing excitement for the first best-on-best international competition in a while.
Macklin Celebrini recognizes that even if he's not playing now, the opportunity to represent Canada at the Olympics is inspiring, especially with players like Sidney Crosby involved.
"I think the 2010 Olympics when [Canada] won that in Vancouver... that was a very vivid memory for me," Celebrini said, recounting his early inspiration from hockey.
