The Models of Crisis is a series of three kinetic objects-poems that explore the artist's existential crisis through the lens of technology. By employing Large Language Models (LLMs), the artist seeks to translate deeply personal struggles into physical forms that embody emotion and thought. Each piece, including Mood Swing, Train of Thought, and Rise & Shine, combines mechanical movement with text displayed on alphanumeric screens, presenting a unique approach to understanding and expressing complex emotional experiences in a digital age.
As my method of work is all about intertwining physical with digital, I decided to literally build physical models that convey synthetic thoughts modeling my current state of mind.
These kinetic poems serve as vehicles for expressing an LLM's output, providing a mechanical abstraction of the artist's existential crisis.
