Citing "decreasing" launch opportunities, ABL Space will pivot to missile defense

US rockets fly every couple of days, with perfect success. To succeed in scaling up an orbital launch program, you need deep motivation from many stakeholders.
Of the three companies, only Firefly has enjoyed success. The Alpha rocket has reached orbit multiple times, and Firefly recently completed a $175 million Series D fundraising round.
ABL will now shift its focus towards national defense, specifically missile defense technologies, in response to the surge in US Defense spending after Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
