ATMOS Space Cargo, a German startup, recently received €13.1 million from the European Innovation Council Accelerator to enhance its space logistics capabilities. This funding, part of Horizon Europe, includes grants, equity from the EIC, and private investments. It comes ahead of the test flight of their PHOENIX 1 capsule in April 2025, with plans for two subsequent PHOENIX 2 flights. ATMOS also contracted for seven re-entry missions with Space Cargo Unlimited, solidifying its commitment to reusability and innovation in space logistics.
"It plays a crucial role in advancing the PHOENIX 2 capsule and reinforces our commitment to making reusable space logistics a reality in the coming years."
"Receiving this funding marks a significant milestone for the entire ATMOS team as it underscores the strong support for the technology we are developing."
