NASA spent October hoisting a 103-ton simulator section onto a test stand to prep for the next Moon mission

NASA has successfully installed a 103-ton interstage component at the Thad Cochran Test Stand to prepare for future Artemis Moon missions, enhancing the Space Launch System.

The interstage section, part of the SLS Block 1B design, will protect critical systems and increase payload capabilities, allowing for 40% more cargo than the previous version.
