Youngest Milky Way-like galaxy rotates just like we do
Briefly

The discovery of REBELS-25, a galaxy just 700 million years old and already showing a mature, strongly rotating disk, challenges existing models of galaxy formation.
The presence of internal rotation in MACS1149-JD1 and the later discovery of REBELS-25 suggest that the formation of such structured galaxies occurs much earlier than previously thought.
