Jamboree Towers Rise on Schedule : Irvine Co.'s Twin Office Buildings Slated for November Completion
"By combining the present technology of the building management system with a somewhat traditional styling of the past, we have designed a structure that will be a distinctive and functional contribution to Orange County. Energy conservation and security, fire and life safety systems have been incorporated in the building management system."
"Travertine was selected for the exterior finish to provide permanent color and texture. We also included an exterior colonnade to give the buildings a perceptible human scale. Use of a variety of textures and colors is designed to portray a feeling of warmth."
The Irvine Co.'s Jamboree Center Phase 1 is a $35-million project on track for November completion. Located at Jamboree Boulevard and Main Street, the eight-acre development includes two 12-story office buildings with four-level parking structures. The 450,000 gross square feet project provides approximately 420,000 square feet of leasable office space. Steel structures are completed to the roof, and parking structure grading is finished. The design combines modern building management systems with traditional styling, incorporating energy conservation features including solar-cooled bronze glass and advanced security, fire, and life safety systems. Travertine exterior finishes and an exterior colonnade provide aesthetic warmth and human scale. Office space targets service companies including law firms and accounting practices.
