Bayern Munich star Harry Kane equals record that has stood since the Bundesliga's inception
"With his goal on Sunday against Wolfsburg, Bayern Munich's Harry Kane reached 20 goals in the Bundesliga this season (before we even finished the Hinrunde). This makes it three seasons in a row that he has scored at least 20 league goals. This is the first time in over 60 years that a player has scored 20 or more goals in each of their first three Bundesliga seasons."
"Konietzka played most of his career with Borussia Dortmund and contributed to their history and to the history of the Bundesliga. He was on the Dortmund team that won the last German Championship before the inception of the Bundesliga. Konietzka also scored the very first goal in the newly-formed Bundesliga, in the first minute of Dortmund's first match against Werder Bremen. He went on to help Dortmund and 1860 Munich win Bundesliga titles."

Harry Kane reached 20 Bundesliga goals with his strike against Wolfsburg, marking at least 20 league goals in each of his first three Bundesliga seasons. No player has achieved 20-plus goals in each of their first three Bundesliga seasons in over 60 years; the last was Friedhelm "Timo" Konietzka. Konietzka spent most of his career with Borussia Dortmund, scored the inaugural Bundesliga goal in the first minute against Werder Bremen, and was part of Dortmund's pre-Bundesliga German Championship. He later helped Dortmund and 1860 Munich win titles and won three Swiss league titles as a manager. With the Rückrunde remaining, Kane can pursue Robert Lewandowski's single-season record.
