Riccardo Calafiori left Italy training camp and returned to Arsenal to recover from a hip problem. He missed Italy's 2-0 win against Moldova after training away from the team and will miss the World Cup qualifying match against Norway. Calafiori has started Arsenal's 11 Premier League games this season, scoring once, assisting twice, and featuring in one Champions League game. Gennaro Gattuso said Calafiori tried to be available but could not regain fitness and thanked him for his commitment. Calafiori contributed to Arsenal's run of eight consecutive clean sheets and has been influential in attack, registering 19 Premier League shots and 2.21 expected goals. Arsenal face Tottenham, Bayern Munich, and Chelsea after the international break and hope for returns from several injured players.
