The transfer process has been ongoing for two weeks, during which Roma successfully outbid competition from Atalanta. However, the final obstacle has now been resolved.
Evan Ferguson will travel to Italy on Sunday to sit a medical and complete the formalities of his loan move from Brighton to Roma after the two clubs finally came to an agreement.
The loan has been in train for a fortnight now after Roma fended off competition from domestic rivals like Atalanta to sign the Meath native on a season-long loan deal.
There was a holdup as the Serie A club were not willing to meet Brighton's valuation of €45m in terms of the buyout clause is the loan was a success.
Roma wanted to make it a permanent deal, but negotiations regarding the buyout clause caused delays in finalizing the loan.
