Former Ipswich Town kitman James Pullen received a suspended three-month ban for breaching Football Association betting regulations by placing 867 bets on matches between March 2018 and March 2024, with 126 bets on games involving Ipswich, including one spot bet of 5 in 2021.
Despite the betting activities, Pullen did not wager on Ipswich to lose, with only three of his 126 bets on the club being for them to draw, while admitting to a total loss of 608.12 on 1,400.79 stake.
Pullen, who had played for Ipswich, Peterborough, Blackpool, and AFC Wimbledon, cooperated fully, showed genuine remorse, and was suspended from football until 2025-26, with a 750 fine imposed.
