Lisa Benn alleges Steve Child pushed and threatened her during a PGMOL VAR training tournament in March 2023 and later intimidated her at a training-camp hotel in August 2023. PGMOL investigated the complaint and found Child's behaviour did not meet the threshold for disciplinary action. Child denies grabbing or manhandling Benn, characterising any contact as a guiding arm and saying he does not recall physical contact. Bennett says she lost her position as a FIFA international referee after complaining to PGMOL. The employment tribunal heard conflicting witness accounts and testimony about alleged comments and conduct.
