""I'm really pleased to be here," Ward-Prowse told Burnley's official media channels. "As soon as I heard of Burnley's interest and spoke to the manager, I knew this loan spell was just what I needed. "There's a big battle between now and the end of the season, but I'm going to relish every moment. "I just want to get out there, pull on the Burnley shirt and give my all for the challenge that's ahead.""

"He will now hope to help Burnley improve on their 19th-placed position in the league, with Scott Parker's side 10 points adrift of safety after Saturday's 2-2 draw with Tottenham."
James Ward-Prowse, 31, has joined Burnley on loan until the end of the season after falling out of favour at West Ham. He made six Premier League appearances this campaign under Graham Potter but has not featured in a matchday squad since mid-September under Nuno Espirito Santo. Ward-Prowse described the move as the right fresh challenge and expressed eagerness to help Burnley in their relegation battle. He was loaned to Nottingham Forest last season but had that deal cut short in January. Burnley sit 19th and face a 10-point deficit to safety.
