Motherwell have signed "comfortable and reliable" centre-half Stephen Welsh on a season-long loan from Scottish Premiership rivals Celtic. The 25-year-old has played 68 games for Celtic since coming through the Scottish champions' youth system but has not featured this season for Brendan Rodgers' side. He spent the second half of last season on loan to Mechelen as they finished eighth in the Belgian Pro League, playing 17 games, starting all but two of them.

West Ham United have signed of Brazil defender Igor Julio on a season-long loan from fellow Premier League club Brighton. The 27-year-old centre-back has made 37 league appearances for Brighton since joining from Fiorentina for 14.5m in 2023, but has been limited to just one Carabao Cup appearance this season. Crystal Palace had considered signing him earlier on deadline day as they looked to replace Liverpool-bound Marc Guehi, but the Eagles pulled the plug on that move when Igor opted to move to West Ham.

Samuel Chukwueze will try to make a name for himself in England. Milan fans had incredibly high hopes of Chukwueze when he joined the club in 2023 from Villarreal but Samu failed to impress and take his chances. Today, on the transfer deadline day, the Nigerian finds himself heading to Fulham where he'll hope to find more success. "Milan can confirm that Samuel Chimerenka Chukwueze has joined Fulham FC on loan, with an option to make the deal permanent.

The 19-year-old has been part of the Premier League club's academy since the age of eight and he has played eight matches for their under-21 side in the EFL Trophy over recent seasons. Samuel was also part of the side that won the under-18s Premier League title in 2023.

Bournemouth midfielder Ben Winterburn has joined League Two side Barnet on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old has made seven appearances for the Cherries and came off the bench in their opening-night defeat at Liverpool in the Premier League. Winterburn made his debut for Bournemouth in a 2-2 draw at Fulham in December. Both his starts came in last season's FA Cup, in Bournemouth's 5-1 win over West Bromwich Albion and their 2-0 victory at Everton in the fourth round.

Jack Byrne is relocating to the United Arab Emirates until Christmas, with the Shamrock Rovers playmaker completing a loan deal with Dubai Irish FC.

Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo will spend the 2025-26 season on loan with Gremio. The 29-year-old returns to his boyhood club, who are currently 14th in Brazilian Serie A after 20 games. After injury struggles in the early stages of the 2024-25 campaign, Arthur spent the second half of last season on loan with LaLiga side Girona. The midfielder joined Juventus from Barcelona for €86m in 2020, with Miralem Pjanic going the other way.

PSV Eindhoven are considering an ambitious move for Manchester United forward Joshua Zirkzee as they search for reinforcements in attack following a devastating injury blow to Alassane Plea. The Frenchman has been ruled out until 2026, leaving PSV in urgent need of a reliable striker to lead their frontline. Sources close to the agents industry have informed CaughtOffside that PSV see Zirkzee as the perfect candidate and are preparing to open talks with Man United over a potential loan deal.

The youngster is reportedly open to joining another club this summer, but he wants a loan move. He wants to return to Barcelona next season and establish himself as a key player for the club. It will be interesting to see if West Ham can get the deal done. If they manage to sign the talented full-back on loan for this season, it could be an inexpensive acquisition for them and would add much-needed quality and depth to their defensive unit as well.

Walsall have signed forward Daniel Kanu on a season-long loan from Championship side Charlton Athletic. Kanu, 20, came through the youth ranks at The Valley. He made his debut in February 2022, and has scored seven goals in 59 league appearances for the Addicks.

"Evan had a challenging period across the past season and a half, and it has been one disrupted by niggling injury issues," said Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler.

Filip Marschall has been linked with a move away from Aston Villa, with Port Vale submitting an offer for a loan agreement for the upcoming season.

"I am very happy to join Rangers, it is one of the biggest clubs in Scotland and in Europe," Djiga said. "I will try to give everything, to play every game and I think it is the best team for me."
