Almost one in five children live in conflict zones, says Unicef
Briefly

The percentage of children living in conflict zones around the world has doubled from about 10% in the 1990s to almost 19%, signifying an alarming increase in child casualties. We cannot allow a generation of children to become collateral damage to the world's unchecked wars.
With conflicts being waged at levels not seen since 1945, it has been determined that 2024 has been one of the worst years on record for children affected by conflict, both in terms of numbers and the severity of impact on their lives.
