At Google, extensive research was conducted to identify key factors influencing developers' productivity, resulting in a categorized list of 48 distinct factors. These factors aim to encapsulate what enhances the productivity of engineers and information workers in general, emphasizing the importance of autonomy and decision-making in their work processes.
