Fourier, a hydrogen startup co-founded by Siva Yellamraju, is tackling the longstanding challenges of efficient hydrogen production and distribution through compact modular electrolyzers. Targeting systems no larger than two standard server racks, Fourier aims to mass produce these electrolyzers and install multiple small units, referred to as 'blades,' within them. This innovation has caught the attention of investors, leading to an $18.5 million Series A funding round backed by significant firms. The company's approach parallels the strategies of tech giants like Tesla, allowing the use of widely available components and sophisticated software management for optimal operation.
Hydrogen has always been plagued with a couple problems, One is, how do you make it efficiently? Another one is, how do you distribute it efficiently?
We reprogram them, retrofit them to run electrolysis. It also allows us to use these components that are already sold in the billions.
