Intel has a new CEO
Briefly

Intel has appointed Lip-Bu Tan as the new CEO, succeeding Pat Gelsinger, who was reportedly pushed out by the board due to concerns about his strategy. Tan, a former CEO at Cadence and an Intel board member, takes over from interim co-CEOs on March 18th. While Gelsinger's departure was framed as retirement, the board's lack of faith in his leadership prompted this change. Tan's past success in doubling Cadence's revenue raises questions about his potential strategies for Intel's manufacturing and business plans moving forward.
Intel has a powerful and differentiated computing platform, a vast customer installed base and a robust manufacturing footprint that is getting stronger by the day as we rebuild our process technology roadmap.
I am eager to join the company and build upon the work the entire Intel team has been doing to position our business for the future.
