Old Google Workspace Sync versions prevent Windows 11 24H2 update
Briefly

Users with outdated Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft Outlook (GWSMO) won't get Windows 11 24H2 updates, as older versions cause critical issues in Outlook.
Microsoft has blocked the update for GWSMO users who have not updated to the latest version (4.3.68.0), leading to significant Outlook errors post-Windows upgrade.
Affected users see an error message: 'Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. An unexpected error has occurred. MAPI was unable to load the information service.'
Users are advised to manually uninstall outdated versions of GWSMO and install the latest version to resolve issues and allow the Windows update.
