On the last day of the planned migration VMware wrote to customers "to inform you that the anticipated transition of the VMware Cloud Services Portal to the new Cloud Services Console on Broadcom will not be going live on September 21 as originally communicated.""

As a result, our new go-live date will be this weekend between September 26-28." The Register logged on to VMware's Cloud Services portal between those dates and saw notifications that the migration was in progress."
VMware planned to transition customers from the VMware Cloud Services Portal to a new Cloud Services Console on Broadcom. The company announced a migration window of September 19–21 and made the existing portal read-only during the upgrade. On September 21 VMware notified customers that the go-live would not occur as planned. A subsequent attempt over the following weekend also failed. Communications contained inconsistent dates and messages, including a September 26 notice and a conflicting September 29 email. Broadcom's unit now intends to complete the migration between October 3 and 6. The migration approach mirrors past Broadcom replacements and earlier migrations produced difficulties accessing licenses and other resources.
