"It's no surprise that Melissa Joan Heart, who portrayed the title character in "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" for seven seasons, loves Halloween. But she really loves Halloween - and as a former teenage witch, this mom of three knows how to make holidays magical. "I've gotten in trouble once before because I take the day off," Hart tells TODAY.com. "I'm like, 'I am not working on Halloween.' As long as my kids want to trick-or-treat, I am going.""
""I really get into the costumes," Hart says. "I was somehow able to magically manipulate their costumes every year for many years into a family costume." Some of her favorites were the years they went as Pinocchio, Megamind and the Three Amigos. "We watched the ("Three Amigos") movie in May. They were all really into that movie and mimicked it all the time, so I was able to hold on to it until October," Hart says."
Melissa Joan Hart loves Halloween and treats the holiday as a family priority, refusing to work on October 31 and accompanying her children trick-or-treating. She is married to musician Mark Wilkerson and they raise three sons: Mason (19), Braydon (16), and Tucker (12). Hart actively creates and coordinates family costumes, including Pinocchio, Megamind, and the Three Amigos, and endured burned fingers while hot-gluing rickrack. Popcorn is a household favorite; Hart served as Pop Secret's "Chief of Butter" for the Spill Everything campaign and used the Pop Secret Hotline to share confessions. Music bonds the family and led to introducing a son to drummer Jay Weinberg.
