George Springer reportedly "on track" to start Game 6 of the World Series
"During Game 3, Monday night, George Springer was taken out of the game with "right oblique discomfort" after one swing of the bat in the seventh inning. Because of that, Springer also missed Games 4 and 5 as the Blue Jays took a 3-2 series lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers. In speaking with the media, Schneider stated Springer has been feeling much better and was nearly in the lineup for Game 5."
"[Springer] was right on the fence," said Schneider (via Sportsnet's Shi Davidi). "I think he probably could have. I was really juggling what's best for him, what's best for the team, not just immediately to start the game, but kind of how that game may unfold too." Schneider also noted that Springer "kind of checked every box physically so far," but also wants to ensure he's comfortable returning to action."
