According to police, a Mini Cooper struck and killed Patra at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue W. and Fallingbrook Drive."

His first court appearance is set for Dec. 22 in Brampton. Police say information from the public helped identify the driver and urge anyone with information or witnesses to come forward.
